Skater's rules
The session administrator (junior-senior coordinators) and coaches have authority over all skaters and are empowered and expected to enforce these rules and maintain order in the arena.
- A skater may be ordered from the ice for misconduct but must not leave the arena.
- Absolutely no foul language on the ice or in the dressing rooms.
- 1st occurrence - skater ordered from ice, and in the case of a minor, parent or guardian notified.
- 2nd occurrence - skater suspended for 1 week with no refund or make-up
- 3rd occurrence - skater will be suspended for the remainder of the season with no refund or make-up.
- Skaters shall not leave any session without permission of the coach
- If a skater falls. they should make every attempt to get up unless injured
- No skater is to be on the ice at the same time as the Zamboni
- No gum, food or candy on the ice
- Skaters who stop and chat must stay by the boards, out of the way.
- Solo skaters and THEN coaches' lessons have right of way.
- The designated free skate times are for freeskate and freeskate lessons only.
- Dance or skills music may be played during freeskate upon the request of a coach.
- Skaters must give right of way to the dance or skills pattern being played.
- Freeskating is not permitted during dance or skills sessions, except on a private lesson with a coach. Skaters may practice footwork etc. but no spins or jumps are permitted.
